CRA APPROVAL RECEIVED BY MITSUI MANUFACTURERS BANK
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitsui Manufacturers Bank

announced today that it has received a satisfactory rating for its CRA efforts from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC), its primary regulator.
"The rating clearly demonstrates that Mitsui Manufacturers Bank is meeting the credit needs of the communities it serves, including low and moderate income neighborhoods," said Jerry W. Johnston, president of MMB.
The FDIC awarded its rating after a complete review of the Federal Reserve Board hearings on MMB's CRA record. This was supplemented by five weeks of detailed review of the bank's activities and separate meetings with community groups.
"While this regulatory evaluation of our progress helps set the record straight, for the future MMB will continue its pro-active efforts, and with the cooperation of community leaders further improve its CRA performance," he said.
Mitsui Manufacturers Bank, headquartered in Los Angeles, has assets of approximately $1.3 billion and operates 12 offices spanning California from San Francisco to San Diego. The bank's business focus includes middle market commercial businesses including medium sized companies, their owners and executives and other business professionals.
