COVENTRY CIU GAMES LEAGUE: Green Lane dump Stoke Ex out of the cup.
SHOCK of the night in the league's Worthington KO Trophy was Green Lane's 6-1 victory over Stoke Ex-service away in Clay Lane.
Admittedly all the matches were only separated by one point but six out of six is very convincing.
Division One leaders Bell Green scored five away at Willenhall in Robin Hood Road including a 5-0 snooker whitewash, six at darts Fives, four at dominoes and bagatelle to ease through to the next round.
Lime Tree Park started off well against Coombe winning bagatelle and darts Fives but Coombe bounced back taking crib, dominoes, whist and snooker where Chris Duffy made sure of the match.
Parkstone eased through with a 5-1 scoreline at home to Wyken. And although Wyken won dominoes without reply that was all the joy they had as the Parks took crib 4-0, darts Fives 4-0, Bagatelle 3-1, Whist 2-1 and darts 301 4-3.
Paul Malony and Vince Warren made sure Hen Lane went into the hat for the next round as they won the final darts Fives game away to Cheylesmore.
The home side took whist and crib but Hen Lane won snooker 4-1, bagatelle 3-0, darts 301 4-0 in a fairly comfortable victory.
London Road beat Railway and Radford knocked out Walsgrave.
THE draw for the next round of the Worthington KO Trophy will take place at the Coventry CIU Games Secretaries meeting, Radford Social club on Saturday, December 4.
Clubs involved are: Green Lane, Bell Green, Coombe, Hen Lane, London Road, Radford, Parkstone and Rowleys Green.
WALSGRAVE club will stage the national individual pool championship final on Saturday, December 4 (2pm).
