Judge John S. McCann

Joseph H. Hammond, 40, of 2 Second St., Worcester, was sentenced to two and a half years in the House of Correction, with one year to be served, after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent (third offense). The balance of the sentence was suspended for three years with probation. As a condition of probation, he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse evaluation with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department. He was sentenced to a concurrent term of one year in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to driving with a suspended license.

Pappas, 31, of 4 Lambert Circle, Worcester, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or .08 percent, continued without a finding for one year, ordered to attend a driver alcohol education program, loss of license for 45 days, $250 state fee, $250 head injury fee, $50 victim's assessment fee, $50 victim witness fee; marked lanes violation and speeding, found not responsible.

Andrew Lamoreaux, 19, of 1 Boardman St., Worcester, charged with trespassing, continued without a finding for six months, ordered to remain drug- and alcohol-free and to submit to random drug tests, $50 victim witness fee; and carrying a dangerous weapon (knife), continued without a plea or finding and placed on pretrial probation for six months.

Manuel Huertas, 23, of 9 Phillips Passway, Fitchburg, charged with driving without a license, found responsible, fined $100; and vehicle lights violation, found responsible, filed.

Robert A. Gustafson, 64, of 11 Lake Ave., Worcester, charged with assault with intent to rape and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over, dismissed without prejudice.

Joel Maldonado, 31, of 27 Rodney St., Worcester, charged with driving without a license, fined $200, $50 victim witness fee; red light violation and failing to wear a seat belt, found responsible, filed.

Wesley J. Burtin III, 41, of 379 Worcester St., West Boylston, charged with assault and battery, dismissed.

Jennifer A. Pelletier, 28, of 113-1/2 Main St., Oxford, charged with driving an uninsured vehicle, dismissed, $100 costs; driving an unregistered vehicle and license plate violation to conceal ID, dismissed.

Miguel Aponte, 20, of 86 Austin St., Worcester, charged with driving with a suspended license, dismissed, $200 costs.

Gladys E. Rivera, 30, of 142 River St., Southbridge, charged with driving with a suspended license, continued to Aug. 13.

Luis E. Paredes, 43, of 37 Vernon St., Worcester, charged with two counts of driving with a suspended license, continued without a finding for six months; and two counts of marked lanes violation, found responsible, filed.

Abraham Diaz, 23, of 108 Austin St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery and intimidation of a witness, continued to Aug. 14.

Jorge L. Echevarria, 21, of 82 Providence St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery, continued to Aug. 14.

Eugenio Rivera, 25, of Hartford, Conn., charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, manufacturing, selling, or renting a recording without a manufacturer's name, failing to keep right on a hill or obstructed view, driving with a suspended license, and using a vehicle without authority, continued to Aug. 5.

Carolyne Nunez, 23, of 28 Russell St., Worcester, charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace, continued to Aug. 15.
