COURT RULES AGAINST QUIPP IN PATENT CASE

 MIAMI, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal District Court of South Florida has ruled that Quipp, Inc. (NASDAQ: QUIP) is liable for infringement of a patent held by Ferag AG of Switzerland. The patent covers single gripper conveyors used primarily in transporting newspapers. Judge Lenore C. Nesbitt has directed the parties to file a proposed scheduling/status order to determine damages.
 Quipp is currently evaluating the decision of the court and will determine its response within the next few days.
 Quipp, Inc. is a Miami-based manufacturer of material handling systems for the newspaper and graphics markets.
