COURT IN BRIEF.

Among the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on April 29 were: Rachel Martin, 33, of Japonica Way, Stockton, given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS105 costs for being drunk and disorderly.

Carlus Aaron Rainbow, 20, of Gribdale Road, Middlesbrough, fined PS80 and ordered to pay PS50 compensation with PS145 costs for burglary.

Jordan Ridehalgh, 21, of Albany Street, Middlesbrough, banned from driving for 12 months, fined PS120 and ordered to pay PS70 costs for drink driving.

Daniel James Sanderson, 20, of Low Grange Avenue, Billingham, fined PS180 and ordered to pay PS220 costs for possessing an offensive weapon and failing to surrender to custody. Nikki Louise Mount, 30, Grosmont Road, Middlesbrough, given a sixmonth conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS100 costs for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour.

Alan John Charles Bell, 40, of Holme House Road, Stockton, given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS50 compensation with PS15 costs for theft.

Luke Richard Charles Duncan, 24, of Ruby Street, Saltburn, given a 12-month community order with activity requirements for breaching a community order.

Daniel Luke Pattison, 21, of Bedford Street, Stockton, given a 12-month community order with 300 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay PS149.85 compensation with PS85 costs for theft, obstructing a police officer, failing to surrender to custody and breaching a community order.

Bradley Alexander Grimes, 21, of Ayre Street, Middlesbrough, given a 10-week prison sentence suspended for six months for theft and breaching a community order.

Among the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on May 3 were: Craig Owen Atkins, 32, of Apsley Street, Middlesbrough, given an 18-week prison sentence and ordered to pay PS300 costs and PS80 in charges for attempted burglary.

Leon Anthony Joseph Stephens, 52, given a six-month community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay PS85 in charges for breaching a restraining order.

Thomas Edward Travill, 22, of Moortown Road, New Marske, fined PS350, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay PS85 costs and PS35 in charges for drink driving. Neil Anthony Dixon, 38, of Coverdale, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay PS200 costs and PS60 in charges for attempted theft and failing to surrender to custody. David Alan Peirson, 34, of Kings Road, Middlesbrough, given a 40-week prison sentence and ordered to pay PS1,141 compensation for theft.
