COURT IN BRIEF.

AMONG the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on Monday, September 30, were: Leon Blair, 22, of Teale Street, Middlesbrough, fined PS110 with PS120 costs for criminal damage.

Ali Mohamed Busnena, 31, of Norwich Road, Middlesbrough, fined PS300 with PS85 costs for driving while using a mobile phone.

Andrew Butcher, 48, of Faversham Close, Hemlington, fined PS700 with PS125 costs for using a vehicle without insurance.

Emma Cooksey, 24, of Wake Street, Middlesbrough, fined PS100 with PS75 costs for driving while using a mobile phone.

Pegman Ramezany, 26, of Newport Road, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with 140 hours' unpaid work and supervision requirements and ordered to pay PS50 costs and PS53.41 compensation for theft.

Darren Paul Smith, 22, of Moorcock Close, Bank-fields, fined PS600 with PS145 costs for criminal damage.

Richard Kenneth Charlton, 21, of Tawney Road, Middlesbrough, given a 12-month community order with 40 hours' unpaid work and supervision requirements and ordered to pay PS145 costs for handling stolen goods.

Tracey George, 30, of Poppy Lane, Stockton, fined PS180 with PS105 costs and banned from driving for 16 months for drink-driving.

Aimee Elizabeth Morrison, 23, of Spencerfield Crescent, Middlesbrough, fined PS300 with PS115 costs and banned from driving for 22 months for drinkdriving.

Christopher Robert Routledge, 22, of Grange Farm Road, Grangetown, fined PS185 with PS105 costs for possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply. Andrew Gerald Armstrong, 46, of Pottery Wharf, Thornaby, fined PS240 and ordered to pay PS100 compensation with PS100 costs for assault. Christopher Thomas Bushby, 34, of Queen Street, Redcar, given a six-month community order with programme and supervision requirements and ordered to pay PS130 compensation for criminal damage, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and failing to surrender to custody.

John Lee Grimes, 31, of Elmhurst Gardens, Hemlington, banned from driving for 36 months and ordered to pay PS145 costs for drink driving, driving without an appropriate licence and using a vehicle without insurance.

Arron Lewis Meyer, 21, of Birkhall Road, Middlesbrough, banned from driving for 12 months and fined PS110 with PS40 costs for using a vehicle without insurance, and driving without an appropriate licence.
