COURISTAN REALIGNS EASTERN, MIDWESTERN SALES FORCES.

FORT LEE, N.J.-In a determined effort to strengthen its sales force, Couristan has made several executive appointments in the Eastern and Midwestern regions.

Steve Codella has been appointed vice president of sales, Eastern region, a new position for the company. Codella began his career with Couristan four years ago as the Eastern regional sales manager and will continue to oversee both sales and dealer relations in the Eastern region, as well as manage and develop key accounts at the national level to strategically implement sales goals. He will also be responsible for product development in the residential broadloom and area rug divisions.

Geoffrey Siebold has been appointed Midwest regional sales manager, where he will oversee sales and dealer relations headquartered in the Midwest. Siebold has been with the company for six years, beginning as the territory manager for Couristan's residential division in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Both Codella and Siebold are recipients of the Couristan President's Gold Circle Award for their sales achievements over the years, and Codella was also recently awarded Couristan's Basil J. Couri Award in recognition of his devotion to the principles and ideals of Couristan. They will report to Bob Ball, executive vice president, residential division; Ron Couri, president and chief executive officer; and George Couri, chairman.

Couristan is also adding Lori Kapusta to its sales team as Midwest territory manager. Kapusta comes to the company from Watson Smith, where she sold high-end residential and commercial carpeting along with area rugs to the architectural and design community, and served as rug buyer as well. She will report to Ball and Siebold.

Couristan is also congratulating Charlie Berger, the company's Contract Custom Carpeting division's Eastern regional manager, for his 25 years of service to the company. Another recipient of the Couristan President's Gold Circle Award, the company said Berger's sales initiative and pursuit of excellence in providing his clients with solutions for specific decorating needs, will forever distinguish him as a force in sales.
