COSTCO PROPOSES OUTLET ON 13.5-ACRE TRIAD PARK PARCEL

LIVERMORE, Calif., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Triad Systems Corp. (NASDAQ: TRSC) today confirmed it has received a conditional offer from Costco Wholesale Corp. (NASDAQ: COST) to purchase a 13.5-acre parcel of freeway frontage property in Triad Business Park. Details of the proposal were not divulged.
The property is part of a 50-acre parcel fronting Interstate 580 that Triad is proposing to develop as a retail center, pending rezoning approval by the City of Livermore. The remaining acreage that Triad owns will continue to be marketed to prospective corporate users.
The Costco proposal, which is subject to approval by local governmental agencies, would include construction by year-end 1993 of a 152,000-square-foot membership warehouse store.
Triad, a leading provider of business and information management solutions for the automotive aftermarket and retail hardgoods industry, moved into its 220,000-square-foot headquarters complex in Triad Park in 1988.
