COSMAIR FINDS NICHE WITH NON-ALCOHOL FRAGRANCE TECHNOLOGY
NEW YORK, March 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The European Designer Fragrance Division of Cosmair, Inc., became the leader in non-alcoholic perfume technology with its introduction last year of Anais Anais' Voile de Parfum. The process of replacing a fragrance's alcohol content by substituting skin-silkening moisturizers has proven so effective and has been so well received by consumers that other Cosmair fragrances have followed suit. Now the division reaffirms its role as an innovative leader with the introduction of Paloma Picasso Satin de Parfum, Moisturizing Perfume Mist Without Alcohol.
Satin de Parfum Moisturizing Perfume Mist Without Alcohol has all the elegance of Paloma Picasso's original perfume -- in a form so gentle that it can be worn all over the body. The alcohol has been replaced by luxurious moisturizers that not only improve the look and feel of the skin, but actually help the Paloma Picasso fragrance last longer. Upon application, the fragrance is an opalescent mist that becomes invisible as it is smoothed over the skin. Tiny moisturizing droplets are absorbed while additional emollients remain on the skin's surface to protect against moisture loss. It is this process of hydration and then moisturization that benefits the skin while creating an environment that helps delay the evaporation of the fragrance.
The absence of alcohol also softens and freshens the luxurious Paloma Picasso fragrance. Without an alcohol "headiness" or "topnote", the fragrance gains a new lightness, an enhanced floral bouquet, a new subtlety.
Paloma Picasso Moisturizing Perfume Mist Without Alcohol's presentation, an elegant frosted glass urn topped by a golden sphere, was designed by Miss Picasso. The 3.4 ounce spray retails for $48.00 and will debut in major department stores nationwide in May 1992.
Paloma Picasso is manufactured and distributed by Cosmair, Inc., the exclusive U.S. licensee of L'Oreal, Paris.
