 CORPORATE RESPONSE TO HURRICANE ANDREW
 HAYWARD, Calif., Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Mervyn's and Target Stores,


both divisions of the Dayton Hudson Corp. (NYSE: DH), today began offering relief services to Hurricane Andrew victims, including cash and merchandise donations, acceptance of vouchers and assistance to credit customers.
 Services include:
 -- A $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross for disaster relief on behalf of Mervyn's and Target Stores has been made by the Dayton Hudson Foundation.
 -- Mervyn's and Target Stores will act as collection points for disaster relief donations to the Red Cross. Collection boxes will be placed at checkout areas in all Target stores and in customer service areas in Mervyn's Florida stores.
 -- Target Stores is collecting bottled water from its shelves and transporting 10,000 gallons to the stricken South Florida area. Target Stores is transporting diapers and infant formula to the Red Cross for distribution to families affected by Hurricane Andrew.
 -- Mervyn's and Target Stores are both accepting American Red Cross merchandise vouchers.
 -- Mervyn's is making arrangements for special assistance to Mervyn's credit card customers affected by the hurricane.
 Mervyn's has 17 stores in Florida, with two more scheduled to open Oct. 25. Target Stores has 29 stores in Florida.
