CORPORATE CHANGES UNVEILED AT BREED TECHNOLOGIES

LAKELAND, Fla., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- BREED Technologies (NYSE: BDT) is pleased to announce that, in connection with its increasing business activity outside the United States, Giovanni Magistrali will assume the position of president and chief operating officer of BREED's Italian operations, effective Dec. 1, 1993. Mr. Magistrali has served as president and chief operating officer of BREED Technologies since 1989.
Mr. Magistrali's success as BREED's president occurred during a period of unprecedented company growth and dramatic domestic expansion. He was instrumental in the establishment of the company's high volume sensor manufacturing plants and helped to establish BREED as a dominant presence in the crash sensor business. Mr. Magistrali will now focus his talents on the company's European activities.
Concurrently, Gary L. Tessitore will succeed to the position of president and chief operating officer of BREED Technologies, Inc. Mr. Tessitore joined BREED in March, 1993 as executive vice president. He was formerly employed with the J.I. Case Company and prior to that, Ford New Holland, a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company.
"This change in the organization," stated Allen Breed, chairman and chief executive officer, "places two key executives in a position to make the maximum contribution to BREED Technologies."
Breed Technologies, Inc. is a world leader in the design, development and manufacture of automotive crash sensors and airbag systems. It offers a complete line of electrically-initiated airbag inflators and electronic-sensing diagnostic systems for worldwide applications.
