CORELINK RESOURCES, INC., APPOINTS EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND VICE PRESIDENT, SYSTEMS AND OPERATIONS

 SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Two executive appointments were announced today by CoreLink Resources, Inc., a financial services firm that provides investment products to community banks.
 Kenneth R. George has been named executive vice president and head of sales, and Brian Johnson has been named vice president, systems and operations.
 In announcing the new positions Richard L. Saalfeld, chairman of CoreLink Resources, said: "We are fortunate to have these experienced executives join CoreLink in two key areas. Ken George, who has had 25 years experience in sales, marketing and administration with national and regional brokerage firms, will manager our expanding national sales effort. Brian Johnson, who has managed the systems and operations for major mutual funds, will be responsible for CoreLink's technology and customer service systems."
 George joins CoreLink from Charles Schwab & Co. in San Francisco, where he had been senior vice president of business development since September 1991. Previously, he was managing partner of the Financial Services Consulting Group, and president and chief executive officer of Birr Wilson Securities, Inc., retail brokers, both located in San Francisco.
 George also held executive positions at two other brokerage firms, Boettcher and Company, Inc., Denver, and Sutro and Company, Inc., San Francisco.
 Johnson comes to CoreLink from G.T. Global Financial Services, Inc., a mutual fund company in San Francisco, where he was vice president, information technology. Before joining G.T. Global in 1988 he was assistant vice president, systems development, at Franklin Resources, a San Mateo mutual fund company.
 CoreLink, based in Concord, provides mutual funds and annuities to customers of community banks, including the Mechanics Bank of Richmond, Calif. and Bank of Santa Clara. Concord Financial Group, Inc., the largest administrator of bank-related mutual funds, is the majority investor in CoreLink.
