ALWAYS Technology Corporation today announced an agreement to include Corel's comprehensive SCSI software with ALWAYS' family of SCSI host adapters. ALWAYS currently offers 16 and 32 bit SCSI host adapters as well as a recently introduced parallel port SCSI host adapter. Under the new agreement, ALWAYS will include Corel's SCSI software with 100 percent of SCSI host adapters shipped.

 COMPREHENSIVE SCSI SOFTWARE
 CorelSCSI, Corel's comprehensive SCSI software, combined with ALWAYS high performance SCSI host adapters, allows the transparent integration of all major SCSI peripherals to Novell NetWare file servers, Windows and DOS based systems. CorelSCSI allows the integration of up to seven of the following supported peripherals off a single host adapter:
 - Hard drives
 - Removable drives
 - CD-ROM drives
 - Floptical drives
 - DAT drives
 - QIC tape drives
 - WORM optical drives
 - Rewritable optical drives
 - Multifunction optical drives
 - Optical disk jukeboxes
 Corel SCSI also includes tape back-up software, CD-AUDIO, as well as additional utilities that let the user customize the performance of the SCSI peripherals.
 CorelSCSI will be integrated with the following ALWAYS SCSI host adapters:
 IN-2000PRO
 The IN-2000 is a Novell tested and approved 16 bit AT-BUS SCSI host adapter that features "jumperless" installation, and data transfer rates up to 5 MBytes/Sec.
 AL-6200PRO
 Due for release in early 1993, the AL-6200PRO is a 32 bit EISA SCSI host adapter that features up to 32 MBytes of catching and up to 33.3 MBytes/Sec, making it one of the fastest in the industry.
 AL-1000PRO
 The AL-1000 is the company's most recent addition to its family of SCSI host adapters. As a parallel port SCSI host adapter, the AL-1000 provides high performance SCSI connectivity for notebooks and laptop computers.
 All of the above solutions will include complete, easy-to-use documentation and an internal SCSI cable.
 PRICING AND DISTRIBUTION
 The ALWAYS bundles that include CorelSCSI are available from authorized ALWAYS distributors world-wide.
 Suggested list pricing for the ALWAYS SCSI host adapters including CorelSCSI is as follows:
 IN-2000PRO - $299 US
 AL-1000PRO - $249 US
 AL-6200PRO - $995 US
 Corel will continue to offer CorelSCSI as a software only solution for $99 US, and $119 CDN from CorelSCSI distributors world-wide.
