COREL AND NEW MEDIA SEAL BUNDLING PACT FOR SCSI PCMCIA SOLUTIONS

 OTTAWA, June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Corel Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: COSFF) and California-based New Media Corporation today announced an agreement whereby New Media will bundle CorelSCSI for DOS and Windows with the New Media PCMCIA SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface) Adapter cards. Shipping in July, the New Media/CorelSCSI package is the world's first SCSI solution to provide laptop and notebook users access to powerful multimedia applications available on CD-ROM media.

 New Media PCMCIA SCSI Adapter Card
 The New media SCSI adapter card fits into industry standard PCMCIA card slots available on most laptops and allows the computers to connect to SCSI peripherals including CD ROM drives, hard disks, and tape drives.
 Specifications for this card include the following features:
 -- On-card DMA with 32K buffer on-card
 -- On-card active termination
 -- Microsoft Windows and Multimedia PC (MPC) compatible
 -- 512KB of "publish" space on-card
 -- Over 500KB/s sustained data rate.
 -- Uses ultra-thin 22" cable with Centronics, DB25, or SCSI II connector options
 -- Supports up to seven logical devices including all devices supported by CorelSCSI.
 Comprehensive SCSI Software
 Combined with New Media's PCMCIA SCSI adapter card, CorelSCSI, Corel's comprehensive SCSI software, provides a powerful solution to integrating all major SCSI peripherals.
 CorelSCSI allows the integration of up to seven of the following supported peripherals off a single host adapter:
 -- Hard drives
 -- Removable drives
 -- CD-ROM drives
 -- Floptical drives
 -- DAT drives
 -- QIC drives
 -- WORM optical drives
 -- Rewritable optical drives
 -- Multifunction optical drives
 -- Optical disk jukeboxes
 CorelSCSI also includes tape back-up software, CD-AUDIO, multi- session support for Kodak Photo CD, as well as other utilities that let the user customize the performance of the SCSI peripherals.
