COREL AND AMERICAN MEGATRENDS ENTER SCSI MARKETING PACT

 OTTAWA, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Corel Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: COSFF) and Atlanta-based American Megatrends(TM), Inc. today announced an agreement whereby American Megatrends will bundle CorelSCSI with their Fast Disk(TM) SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface) controller product line. Shipping in August, the American Megatrends SCSI host adapter / CorelSCSI packages will provide customers with greater compatibility and ease of use with their SCSI controller solutions.

"CorelSCSI teamed with American Megatrends' Fast Disk SCSI controllers provide customers an unbeatable combination for compatibility and performance with SCSI peripherals."
 Fast Disk SCSI Controller Product Line
 The Fast Disk SCSI controller product line consists of the Fast Disk NC (non-cached), the Fast Disk EISA and the new Fast Disk VLB. The Fast Disk NC is an EISA non-cached solution that supports FAST SCSI and SCSI II as well as IDE drives.
 The Fast Disk EISA and the Fast Disk VLB are for EISA and VESA local bus applications respectively. They are full-length cached controllers with the following features:
 -- One to 16MB of cache support,
 -- On-board 386SX CPU for I/O management, and
 -- Support for FAST SCSI and SCSI II I/O standards.
 The Fast Disk series bundled with CorelSCSI is available through American Megatrends distributors and resellers worldwide.
 Comprehensive SCSI Software
 Combined with American Megatrends' line of Fast Disk SCSI controllers, CorelSCSI, Corel's comprehensive SCSI software, provides a powerful solution to integrating all major SCSI peripherals.
 CorelSCSI allows the integration of up to seven of the following supported peripherals off a single host adapter:
 -- Hard drives
 -- Removable drives
 -- CD-ROM drives
 -- Floptical drives
 -- DAT drives
 -- QIC tape drives
 -- WORM optical drives
 -- Rewritable optical drives
 -- Multifunction optical drives
 -- Optical disk jukeboxes
 CorelSCSI also includes tape back-up software, CD-AUDIO, multi- session support for Kodak Photo CD, as well as other utilities that let the user customize the performance of the SCSI peripherals.
