CORDIS REPORTS THAT NEUROSCIENCE IMPORT ALERT LIFTED
 MIAMI, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Cordis Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: CORD)

said today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has lifted an import alert that prohibited entry into the U.S. of all neuroscience products manufactured at the company's French facility.
The alert, which Cordis announced May 11, was a result of observations noted during a routine plant inspection conducted in January 1992.
The facility underwent a successful three-day reinspection in late July, at which time FDA inspectors confirmed implementation of Cordis' corrective actions at the facility. The Biot, France, production facility has continued to manufacture and distribute neuroscience products to non-U.S. markets worldwide.
Miami-based Cordis Corporation manufactures and markets a variety of medical devices and systems for the angiographic and neuroscience markets. Shares of the company's stock are traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol CORD.
