COOPERS & LYBRAND PUBLISHES INTERNATIONAL BANKING GUIDE
NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Recent dramatic changes in

international banking regulations have prompted Coopers & Lybrand to publish a 1992 revision of its "International Banking Industry Guide," the international accounting, tax, management and benefits consulting firm announced today.
The updated guide provides an overview of the banking regulations and accounting principles and practices in 19 international money centers, from Australia to the United States.
Part I of the guide summarizes important aspects of banking regulations in each county, including establishment procedures, supervision, exchange controls and dividend restrictions, accounting and auditing requirements and taxation. Part II contains a detailed comparative analysis of significant accounting principles and practices followed in the selected locations.
Says Clark Chandler, co-chairman of Coopers & Lybrand's National Banking Group: "Since the prior edition of the International Banking Industry Guide came out in 1987, the accounting and regulatory landscape has changed substantially. Our 1992 edition provides guidance through this terrain for newcomers who wish to know about banking regulations in a particular country and for specialists requiring regulatory information in summary format."
The guide is available for $5.00 a copy by contacting Dianna Dusseault of Coopers & Lybrand National Banking Group, 617-574-5404.
