NEW YORK, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of the firm's new strategic direction, Coopers & Lybrand Chairman Eugene M. Freedman today announced the appointment of Danny W. Hollingshead as managing partner for the Portland client service cluster.
Hollingshead, formerly managing partner for the Eugene, Ore. office, will now direct firm operations in offices in five cities, Eugene, Portland, Anchorage, Seattle and Spokane, Wash.
"Dan brings a strong client service focus to the new position," said Freedman. "A business- and people-builder, he will enable us to deliver the highest quality of services to our clients."
The firm's new strategy is designed to ensure high quality and efficient delivery of services, Freedman explained. The cluster structure links Coopers & Lybrand offices, promoting a teamwork approach to serving our clients, said Freedman.

In the recently announced new strategic direction, Freedman stressed that a strong client focus combined with an orientation to provide excellent client at all levels will drive the firm into the next century.
