COOPER DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCES REORGANIZATION OF CABOT LABORATORIES: CABOT NAMES PAMELA FIELDS VICE CHAIRMAN

NEW YORK, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Cooper Development Company (NASDAQ: COOL) announced today the reorganization of Cabot Laboratories Inc., its wholly owned skin care products subsidiary, and the election of Pamela Fields as vice chairman of Cabot Laboratories Inc.
Fields most recently served as president of Heuer Time & Electronics Corp., the U.S. subsidiary of TAG Heuer S.A., Switzerland's leading manufacturer of professional sports watches.
In commenting on Fields' election as vice chairman of Cabot Laboratories, Parker G. Montgomery, chairman of both Cooper Development Company and Cabot Laboratories, said, "Pam's experience with a top of the line brand like TAG Heuer, as well as her extensive background in the fashion, health and beauty aids industries, will make her a great asset to Cabot and its affiliated companies in Europe. We will be looking to her to lead them to substantial growth worldwide."
The reorganization of Cabot Laboratories and the creation of the office of the chairman is in anticipation of the retirement at the end of the year of Cabot's founder and president, Larry Klur. The office of the chairman will have the primary responsibility for the development and management of the skin care products businesses of Cabot Laboratories.
Cabot Laboratories and its affiliated companies, Cooper Cosmetics S.A. and Difa Cooper, S.p.A., primarily develop and sell skin care products under the Cabot and Tokalon trademarks worldwide.
Cooper Development Company develops health care and personal care products businesses, including Revo sunglasses (Revo Inc.) and Cabot skin care products (Cabot Laboratories Inc.).
