CONTINUUM LAUNCHES COMPREHENSIVE LIFE INSURANCE SOLUTION FOR JAPANESE MARKET

 AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The Continuum Company, Inc. (NYSE: CNU), announced the signing of a joint development agreement to create a Japanese version of its widely used LIFE/400(TM) system. The resulting system will offer a mid range (IBM-AS/400[TM]) life insurance administration system solution fully customized for the Japanese life insurance industry. With deregulation of the insurance industry expected to occur in 1996, the resulting system will offer a cost- effective solution for companies to quickly enter the Japanese life insurance market and take full advantage, of rapid industry changes.
 The development agreement was signed with AXA Group, a major global insurance company based in Paris. Continuum will recognize in excess of $7 million of development revenue over the next 24 months.
