CONTINENTAL PACIFIC RESOURCES REPORTS RESULTS FROM DRILL HOLE

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Pacific Resources Inc. (VSE: CXF) is pleased to report results from the first drill hole on the Run conductor located at Run Lake, Northwest Territories. Metall Mining Corporation, the operator, has advised that results from the drill hole are as follows:
Hole From To Length Pct. Pct. Pct. AG g/t AU g/t
 No. CU ZN PB
 93-02 434.7 ft. 508.5 ft. 73.8 ft. 0.91 0.24 0.01 7.0 Pending
 includes: 493.8 ft. 495.1 ft. 1.3 ft. 1.70 8.06 0.02 34.8 Pending
This drill hole is interpreted to be in a copper stringer zone adjacent to a possible massive sulphide deposit. Deep geophysical surveying has indicated that the hole intersected the upper portion of a major electromagnetic geophysical anomaly.
The company's agreement with Metall on the Rush and Run properties, two of Continental's 21 discoveries in the Anialik/High Lake mineral belts, requires Metall to pay the company $400,000 and spend $5 million on exploration-development over three years to earn a 60 percent interest in the properties.
In addition to the Metall mining exploration programs, Continental Pacific is conducting aggressive exploration programs on its other 100 percent-owned discoveries in the area. The prime targets of these exploration programs are large tonnage polymetallic deposits with high precious metal content and shear related gold deposits capable of early production.
The company has acquired more lands by staking claims in the area and now owns a 100 percent interest in the lands adjoining the Kennecott High Lake property to the north and to the south. The mineralized horizon hosting the High Lake deposit runs north-south.
The company was also a member of a joint industry/government consortium which confirmed the commercial shipping potential of Canada's most northern seas.
Results of the exploration programs will be released as they become available.
