-- CONTINENTAL AND SOUTH JERSEY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY ESTABLISH NEW
WORLD GATEWAY TO NJ'S MOST POPULAR TOURISM REGION --
NEWARK, N.J., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelers worldwide will soon have easy access to Atlantic City, often with just one stop at Newark International Airport. Continental Express, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Continental Airlines, announced today the addition of four non-stop daily departures from Newark International to Atlantic City, with connections available from Continental's 309 daily flights worldwide arriving at Newark.
"The new Atlantic City route is another example of Continental's commitment to New Jersey," said John Lewis, vice president of scheduling. "With Continental's extensive route structure throughout the world, Atlantic City is now more accessible to both international and domestic travelers."
Continental has entered into a Public/Private partnership with the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) to provide daily service for the route. The inaugural flights are scheduled for July 9, 1993, with reservations open for sale beginning April 25, 1993.
"Continental is excited by the potential of Atlantic City, and we are pleased that Governor Florio and the South Jersey Transportation Authority worked closely with us to bring this service to fruition." Lewis added.
Flight information and reservations are available directly from Continental or by calling your local travel agent.
