CONTINENTAL AIRLINES PREPARED TO ACCEPT AMERICAN TICKETS

 HOUSTON, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAI) announced today that it is prepared to accept most airline tickets from American Airlines' passengers if the pending strike is carried out.
 Continental serves many of the same destinations as American, including cities throughout the U.S., Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and the Caribbean.
 Frequent flyer reward tickets and certain industry tickets on American Airlines will not be accepted for travel. Other tickets will be accepted on a confirmed or standby basis depending on the type of ticket.
 For additional information in the event of a strike, American Airlines' ticketholders can call Continental at 1-800-525-0280, or visit a Continental ticketing facility.
