 CONTINENTAL AIRLINES CLARIFIES NEWS REPORTS
 HOUSTON, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Airlines today


confirmed that it had not had any specific discussions with TWA regarding the purchase of TWA's St. Louis hub operations.
 The comments regarding St. Louis arose in a discussion between Continental CEO Robert R. Ferguson, III and a group of pilots. Responding to a question, Ferguson speculated upon a wide range of possible options including those related to the airline's hub operations in Denver.
 Continental pointed out that it is the airline's preferred option to remain in Denver.
