CONSUMERS RESPOND ENTHUSIASTICALLY TO NEW LOCAL MARKETING PROGRAM ENABLING TV VIEWERS TO RECEIVE PERSONALIZED VIDEOTAPES OF AUTOS BY MAIL
TREVOSE, Pa., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Television viewers in the tri- state area have responded overwhelmingly to a new marketing program for automobile dealers. The program, called Dealer First, invites television viewers to request free videos of cars by calling an 800 number listed in commercials. Dealer First then automatically generates a customized and personalized videotape that includes detailed videos of cars as well as information about the viewer's local dealer. The videotape is then mailed to the viewer via first class mail.
The Dealer First program was developed jointly by TechnoFiles, Inc. and Sherwood Marketing Associates, both in Trevose, Pa. and is currently being piloted with the Buick Dealer Association of Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware as well as the Lehigh Valley Buick Dealer Association. Several thousand local viewers have called the 800 number since the program started on June 18.
"Our pilot program is a huge success," stated Douglas C. Reed, president of TechnoFiles, Inc. "The level of response confirms our belief that consumers are highly receptive to a customized, personalized sales message and will take the first step towards making a purchase.
"This is the first program that provides local dealers with direct access to regional and national television commercial viewers and has been designed to rebuild dealer showroom traffic," continued Reed. In addition to providing viewers with custom videotapes, TechnoFiles also compiles demographic information on viewers who call in to help dealers track inquiries and measure the effectiveness of advertising on their business.
TechnoFiles has received calls from numerous dealership associations and representatives from other industries who are interested in marketing programs that utilize customized videotapes. The Dealer First program is available to all dealer associations and marketing/advertising agencies representing automobile dealers and manufacturers outside the Philadelphia market.
