CONEJO VALLEY VALEDICTORIANS : WESTLAKE HIGH SCHOOL.

Jessica Borelli is a distance runner on the Westlake High cross-country team. She has a grade point average of 4.0. She plans to attend the University of California at Berkeley and to carry a double major of psychology and Spanish.

Veeral Desai is senior class president at Westlake High, where he also is a member of the Key Club and National Honor Society. He carries a 4.0 GPA and plans to attend the University of California at Berkeley with a major in business administration.

Scott Dragicevich, who is captain of the varsity baseball team, plans to attend Stanford University on a baseball scholarship. He was chosen as the Daily News' 1998 Best High School Shortstop in Ventura County.

Helena Horak earned a 4.0 grade point average and plans on attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is thinking of working with the Peace Corps before pursuing a career.

Darren Joe has a 4.0 grade-point average. He plays on the varsity tennis team and said he likes to ``kick it with the boys'' during his spare time. He plans to major in computer science at Princeton University in New Jersey.

With extra credit for advanced-placement work, Amie Johnson captured a 4.8 grade point average and plans on attending the University of Southern California in the fall. She plans on a career in the movie or magazine industries.

Amanda Malone earned a 4.0 grade point average. She plans to attend Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, majoring in English or biology. She volunteers at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital and enjoys reading and swing-dancing during her spare time.

Aaron Rackoff has a grade point average of 4.0 and plans to attend Brown University. He has not decided on a career path.

Ganesh Shankar has a 4.0 GPA. He plans to attend Stanford University in the fall and major in pre-medicine. He also is a National Merit finalist and participated in the Academic Decathlon.

Erin Sheley has a 4.0 grade point average and plans to major in English when she matriculates at Harvard University this fall. She also plans to attend Harvard Law School after completing her undergraduate studies.

OAK PARK HIGH SCHOOL

Amanda Mary Vinson is graduating with a 4.4 grade point average. She was on the Gold Honor Roll all four years and was an academic letterwoman at Oak Park High. She plans to attend Stanford University and pursue a medical degree. An accomplished equestrienne, Vinson was 1997 grand national champion in her horsemanship category.

NEWBURY PARK HIGH SCHOOL

Ian Wesley Lebby has a grade point average of 4.0. He plans to attend the University of California at Berkeley with a double major in psychology and history. He was involved in the marching band and the Academic Decathlon.

THOUSAND OAKS HIGH SCHOOL

Patrick Fisher earned a 4.0 grade point average and will attend the University of Southern California. He wants to become the chief executive officer of a high-tech company.

Melissa Nicole Kiefer has a 4.0 grade point average and will attend the University of California, Santa Barbara. She plans to become a physician.

Ashwin Ramakrishnan earned a 4.0 grade point average. He plans on attending the University of California, San Diego, and having a career in a medical field.

Alexis Sowa earned a 4.0 grade point average and will attend Stanford University, where she will pursue studies in medical research.

Linda A. Szema is graduating with a grade point average of 4.0. She plans to attend the University of California, Los Angeles, and is looking for a career in electrical engineering.
