COMSHARE, IBM FORM NEW INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT RELATIONSHIP
ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Comshare (NASDAQ-NMS: CSRE) announced today a development agreement with IBM (NYSE: IBM) and will become a member of the Decision Support Systems (DSS) Design Council for the Information Warehouse framework. The Design Council will define a technical environment for integrated decision support applications for the Information Warehouse framework.
Recently, Earl Wheeler, IBM senior vice president and general manager of Programming Systems, in his keynote address to 1,800 users at the International DB2 User Group's 4th Annual Conference, announced that an agreement had been reached between Comshare and IBM.
Comshare will participate in IBM's DSS Design Council for the Information Warehouse framework, which will define enhancements to the framework for decision support. Under the agreement, Comshare is committing to support the Information Warehouse framework and its objectives of meeting evolving customer needs and protecting customer investments in their information systems.
Additional terms of the agreement provide for a Comshare financial commitment to IBM to support development assistance and joint Information Warehouse framework promotional activities worldwide.

"Our customers tell us that the Information Warehouse framework is a key technology for leveraging their enterprise-wide data resources for competitive advantage in today's global economy," said Wheeler.
