WESTBORO, Mass., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Sciences Corp. today announced that it has received a $744.2 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), if the government exercises all options, to automate the way the government receives, manages and uses weapons systems information.
As part of the contract, Applix Inc. will provide products, support and upgrades, including Aster-x(tm) (see note), a robust suite of applications and tools that gives users an unparalleled ability to create, edit and share information in text, graphical or multi-media formats across networks of X-based workstations.
