 COMPUTER PRODUCTS, INC. APPOINTS JOHN ZAPF AS VICE PRESIDENT
 OF MARKETING AND SALES FOR BASIX
 BOSTON, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPRD) has announced the appointment of John Zapf as vice president of marketing and sales for all BASIX(tm) products. In the newly created position, Zapf will oversee all BASIX marketing and sales activities.
 Recently announced, BASIX is a new series of medium-power high-density converters targeted to the distributed and modular power markets in the global computer, telecommunications and instrumentation industries. The converters offer modular internal design, high efficiency and low internal noise, and feature a "menu" approach that allows customers to select the design features they need from pre-engineered solutions.
 Previously, Zapf was employed by GenRad Inc., a leading supplier of test equipment for electronic manufacturers. At GenRad, he held key marketing, sales and general management positions in both the United States and Europe. Most recently, Zapf was director of sales and marketing operations for the company. Zapf holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois.
 Kenneth G. Harple, Computer Products, Inc. vice president, corporate development, who oversees the BASIX product line, said, "We are pleased to have John join our management team. His expertise will be instrumental in developing and supporting a strong customer base for BASIX."
