 COMPUTER PETROLEUM ELECTS KLEMP TO NEW POSITION
 ST. PAUL, Minn., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Petroleum


Corporation (NASDAQ: CPCO) today announced the election of Gordon V. Klemp as senior vice president and chief operating officer, a new position. Klemp had been vice president - sales and marketing.
 "Gordon has done an outstanding job for us, and we're pleased that he will be taking responsibility for our day-to-day operations," said William G. Leonard, president. "This will give me more time to work on potential acquisitions, which are a major strategic focus for the company."
 Klemp joined the company in 1990 after 17 years with Farmland Industries, Inc., Kansas City, where his most recent position was as director of Farmland Data Services, Inc. He previously served as general sales manager of Farmland's Petroleum Division.
 Klemp was graduated from Simpson College with a bachelor of science degree in economics and holds a master of business administration degree from Webster University.
