COMPUTER PETROLEUM CORP. GIVES OUTLOOK FOR SECOND QUARTER

 ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Petroleum Corp. (NASDAQ: CPCO) today announced that revenues for the six-month period ending July 31, 1993, will be slightly ahead of revenues for the same period last year.
 Revenues for the first quarter of this year increased 15 percent over
year-ago levels. Second quarter revenues will be about the same as the second quarter last year, when the company reported revenues of $740,000.
 William Leonard, president and CEO, said, "Last year, second quarter revenue benefited from two sales of our Petrographics historical analysis software. Revenues in the second quarter of this fiscal year kept pace as a result of contributions from new products."
