COMPUTER CITY TO OPEN TWO EXPRESS STORES; THE 'BEST OF THE BEST' IN COMPUTER RELATED PRODUCTS

 FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer City(R), America's pre-eminent computer superstore retail chain, announced plans today to open Computer City Express(SM) stores in Houston and Colorado Springs, Colo. Company President Alan Bush made the announcement.
 "Our Express format will offer consumers 1,800 of the best items in computer related equipment, as well as access to 15,000 brand name products through our Express Order program," Bush said. "This format will also enable us to provide better service in existing markets, and allow entrance into new markets in downtown business areas where we currently do not operate."
 The Houston Express store will be located in the Jones Road Plaza. The Colorado Springs Express store will be located in Pace Plaza. Both locations will open during the fourth quarter of this year.
 Computer City Express stores average 10,000-square-feet and carry the products most often purchased at larger SuperCenters. Each Express store will offer a Service Depot which provides on-site configuration and expedites computer service or repair. Both Computer City formats carry name brand products such as Apple, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Packard Bell, Tandy(R) and U.S. Logic(TM).
 Computer City currently operates 23 SuperCenters in the United States and three European superstores. The company plans to open an additional 11 SuperCenters before the end of the year and 24 superstores in 1994.
