 TO $216 MILLION AS COMPARABLE-STORE SALES INCREASE 15.1 PERCENT
 DALLAS, April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- CompUSA Inc. (NASDAQ: CUSA), the nation's largest computer superstore retailer, today announced a 50.0 percent increase in sales to $216 million for the fiscal 1992 third quarter ended March 31, 1992, compared with $144 million for the third quarter a year ago.
 Comparable-store sales for the 17 units open for a year or more, excluding the original Dallas store, increased 15.8 percent during the third quarter. Including the original Dallas store, comparable-store sales increased 15.1 percent.
 For the first nine months of fiscal 1992, sales increased 49.7 percent to $590 million, compared with sales of $394 million for the first nine months of fiscal 1991. Comparable-store sales were up 11.5 percent during the first nine months of fiscal 1992.
 "We are very pleased with our quarterly sales increase and the improving trend in comparable-store sales," said Nathan Morton, president and chief executive officer. "We are enjoying an increased customer base as we add new superstores in a growing number of major U.S. markets. With five new stores opening during the quarter, we are well on track with our national expansion plan."
 February comparable-store sales comparisons were positively impacted by an additional day due to leap year. Comparable-store sales percent increases for each month of the third quarter of fiscal 1992 were:
