COMPUSA INC. FISCAL 1994 SECOND QUARTER NET SALES INCREASE 65 PERCENT TO $537 MILLION ON 13.0 PERCENT COMP-STORE SALES GAIN

 DALLAS, Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- CompUSA Inc. (NYSE: CPU), America's largest Computer Superstore retailer, today announced that for its second quarter of fiscal 1994 ended Dec. 25, net sales increased 65 percent to $537 million from $325 million for the comparable period ended Dec. 26, 1992.
 Comparable-store sales were up 13.0 percent for the fiscal 1994 second quarter for the 36 stores open for a year or more.
 For the first six months of fiscal 1994, net sales were up 66 percent to $974 million from $588 million for the first six months of fiscal 1993. Comparable-store sales were up 14.7 percent for the first six months of fiscal 1994 for the 36 stores open for a year or more.
