COMPLETION OF GUAM AIRPORT COST FEASIBILITY STUDY ANNOUNCED
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Rider Hunt Levett & Carey Ltd., an international cost consultancy with offices throughout the Pacific Rim, announced today the successful completion of the feasibility study for the $150 million-plus Guam International Air Terminal.
Rider Hunt Levett & Carey Ltd. is a sub-consultant to Gensler & Associates, who is responsible for all architectural design work on the project. Gensler is a recognized leader in airport design on a national and international basis. The client's construction manager is the Parsons Overseas Company, a division of the Parsons Corporation of Pasadena, Calif.
The proposed development will renovate and expand the existing terminal building and add additional concourse facilities. The adjacent infrastructure will also be upgraded under a separate phase of the development. The expansion is seen as a necessary requirement to support the dramatic increase in tourism from Japan.
Rider Hunt Levett & Carey's cost feasibility study of Gensler's proposed design was provided to ensure that the design cost would be within the client's overall budget parameters. According to Richard Anderson, manager of the firm's Los Angeles office, "This was a very interesting and challenging assignment for our firm which allowed us to work on one of the premier transportation design projects in the Pacific Rim. Our background in Quantity Surveying and approach to value engineering proved very beneficial to the design consultants".
The Rider Hunt Group, established in London in 1785, has in excess of 30 offices throughout the world, including Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan, Guam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the United Kingdom. The firm's offices in the United States are located in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
