 COMPLAINT FILED AGAINST ELECTRONIC ARTS
 SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic Arts


(NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today it has received a copy of a complaint filed by ESPN, in the United States District Court in New York City, alleging various claims based on the use of Electronic Arts' EASN (Electronic Arts Sports Network) brand name and logo.
 Stan McKee, senior vice president and chief financial officer, said, "The Electronic Arts Sports Network entertainment software products have been successfully marketed for over a year and we have had a variety of contacts with ESPN on a number of topics. We are genuinely surprised at this action."
 Electronic Arts is currently evaluating the matter and will take the appropriate action in response to the claims.
