DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 2003

The COMPA Food Ministry, a local charity providing for families throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region in Jesus' Name, wishes to express thanks to the thousands of volunteers and supporters who helped make this year's Thanksgiving Outreach a tremendous success. The Thanksgiving Outreach is an annual community-wide event organized and managed by COMPA Food Ministry, whereby needy families and individuals are provided food for Thanksgiving.

"I would like to personally thank the thousands of volunteers who have committed time, money and resources to this incredible cause," commented, Al Hodges, COMPA's project manager. "Your support and prayers have made this year's Thanksgiving Outreach our most successful to date, providing over 18,000 families and individuals with meals for Thanksgiving. I would especially like to thank the more than 6,000 volunteers that braved the extreme weather conditions and came out to help fill food bags and deliver them to homes along the Front Range."

Hodges continued, "I also want to thank the local media for their dedication and support, including radio stations KRKS and KNUS. Their live broadcasts on Saturday provided all of us with inspiration and we greatly appreciate their continued service to the Denver community. Plus, their continued effort to fundraise for COMPA throughout the year is a great support."

Since 1981 the Thanksgiving Outreach has helped impact hunger around the holiday season. The entire community is needed to participate in the various parts of the Outreach. This includes nominating needy families, organizing food drives, giving financially, and volunteering time and resources. The Outreach begins in September, and culminates on Delivery Day, when food bags are filled and delivered to thousands of families.
