Kay E. Seim, previously senior vice president and chief operating officer of Ramsay Health Care Inc. has been named executive vice president in charge of operations in California and the Northwest. John-Paul Sensibile has returned to assume the post of vice president, operations, currently overseeing CPC Laguna Hills Hospital. Sensibile, 33, was acting vice president in the Los Angeles region during 1991.
Eric M. Agnew, 39, recently returned to run CPC Horizon Hospital in Pomona, Calif., which will be reopening in the near future. Agnew worked for CPC from 1983 to 1991 serving as vice president of development and dialysis.
Jill S. Brandenburger has rejoined the company as vice president, alcohol and drug services. Brandenburger, 37, worked for CPC from 1980-1990, heading up the Addiction Medicine Division.
Robert Derenthal, 56, a former senior vice president of CPC, came out of retirement to oversee certain Southern California operations, and is now serving as a consultant on special projects to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard L. "We are extremely pleased to have executives of this calibre choose to rejoin the company at such a critical juncture," said Conte. "With the industry in the throes of a major shakeout and consolidation, we view their returns as growing recognition that the strategic and cultural changes we are making at CPC along with our financial stability make us well-positioned to pull through the current downturn and resume earnings growth. They enhance a management team already strengthened over the past year by new hires Steve Weis, CFO; and Geoff Deutsch, Suzanne Hovdey and Kathy Bolmer, VPs of marketing, corporate/investor relations and partial hospitalization, respectively."
