COMMUNITY HOME HEALTH CARE RECEIVES $5,000 CHEVRON GIFT

SEATTLE, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Community Home Health Care today announced a $5,000 gift from The Chevron Cos. to assist the organization's Volunteer Recruitment and Training Program.
Since 1980, Chevron has been contributing to Community Home Health Care's "visitor volunteers" who provide companionship, support, transportation and respite services to frail older adults struggling to remain independent at home. "Chevron is proud to support Community Home Health Care's mission to provide compassionate, cost-effective care to individuals who wish to retain their independence, dignity and well- being at home," said Robert Osmundson, public affairs manager for The Chevron Cos.
Since 1975, Community Home Health Care, a non-profit organization, has been providing a broad range of home-based health, mental health and social services to support those recovering from illness or an accident, managing a chronic illness or disability, requiring complex care for cancer or a terminal illness, or needing mental health treatment.
Each year Community Home Health Care's 350 staff members and 100 volunteers provide specialized services to more than 4,200 people in King and Snohomish counties.
