COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION ESTABLISHES TELECOM JOINT VENTURE IN MEXICO

 CLEVELAND, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Acme-Cleveland Corporation (NYSE: AMT) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Communications Technology Corporation (CTC), has formed a telecommunications joint venture company with CIMA Sistemas S.A. de C.V. (CIMA) of Mexico City, Mexico. CTC has controlling interest in the new operation, Communications Technology Corporation Mexico, which will be headquartered in Mexico City.
 David L. Swift, chairman and chief executive officer of Acme- Cleveland stated, "An essential element to CTC's growth is a meaningful participation in the Mexican and Central American telecommunications markets. The CTC/CIMA joint venture will enable both parties to benefit from the emerging opportunities in the Latin America market for advanced telecommunication network testing products and services, as well as traditional product business for outside plant applications."
 Acme-Cleveland Corporation manufactures and sells telecommunication products, sensor devices and controls, quality assurance products, cutting tools, and multiple spindle machine tools and related parts and services.
