 COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES FOURTH QUARTER RESULTS
 HECTOR, Minn., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Communications Systems, Inc.


(NASDAQ: CSII) (CSI) today announced revenues and net income for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended Dec. 31, 1991.
 Revenues from continuing operations for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended Dec. 31, 1991, were $9,358,000 and $37,928,000 respectively, up 9 percent and 13 percent from the same periods of 1990.
 Income from continuing operations for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended Dec. 31, 1991, was $1,008,000 and $4,267,000 respectively, up 1 percent and 31 percent from the same periods of 1990.
 Per share earnings from continuing operations for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended were $.23 and $.97 compared to $.23 and $.74 for the similar periods in 1990.
 Discontinued operations are the independent telephone operations which were divested by means of a spin-off to CSI's shareholders in August 1990, and the telecommunications equipment operations, which were sold in 1991. Operating losses and losses incurred on sales of the telecommunications segment during 1991 were charged to loss reserves established in 1990.
 CSI, headquartered in Hector, is principally engaged in the manufacture and sale of connecting devices for telephone equipment.
