 COMMERCIAL INTERTECH ACQUIRES BIOKEN SEPARATIONS
 YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Commercial Intertech


(NYSE: TEC) today announced that it has purchased the assets of Bioken Separations of Norwood, Mass., a manufacturer of proprietary cross-flow membrane devices and systems. The unit will operate under current management as the Cuno Separations Systems Division. Cuno Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Commercial Intertech Corp. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
 Paul J. Powers, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Commerical said, "The Separations Systems Division's ultrafiltration and membrane cartridges are a natural extension of Cuno's broad adsorption, depth cartridge and membrane product line. We are committed to continuously developing these products to serve the many process filtration markets we believe offer significant growth potential."
 Commercial Intertech is a leading multinational producer of hydraulic components, fluid purification equipment, pre-engineered steel buildings and metal products.
