COMMERCIAL DRIVING LICENSE PROGRAM TO AIR AGAIN ON CTN
TRENTON, N.J., Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to popular demand, the Cable Television Network of New Jersey in conjunction with the New Jersey Departments of Labor and Higher Education will air the Commercial Driving License Program again starting next week. The six part course was previously televised in June to help New Jersey's commercial truck and bus drivers pass a new licensing test.
Beginning Friday, Feb. 7, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and continuing for the next five Fridays, until March 6, CTN will televise the Commercial Driver License Program. The course is designed to help all truck and bus drivers prepare for the test they must pass in order to obtain a new, federally mandated license.
Congress mandated this standardized licensing procedure in 1986 and requires each state to administer the tests and issue the licenses. The test is more complex than those previously administered in New Jersey.
The course is specifically designed to be used along with the "Commercial Driver's License Manual," which can be picked up at any of the 49 Division of Motor Vehicle locations throughout New Jersey. The manual can not be mailed, so any drivers interested in the program should obtain the manual well in advance of the Feb. 7 airing of the series.
Check local listings for the CTN channel in your area. CTN is a service of the New Jersey Cable Operators.
