 COMERICA CALIFORNIA POSITIONS FOR GROWTH
 SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Jack Conner, president


and chief executive officer of Comerica California, today announced a realignment of some of the duties of several executives of Comerica California's bank subsidiaries, Plaza Bank and Bank of Industry, and the election of new board members.
 Patricia Lowell, president of Plaza Bank, will devote her efforts to business development, customer retention and community and employee relations. She will continue to serve as a member of the board of both the Bank of Comerica California Inc., and as a member of the executive management committee of the Bank.
 Walter Kaczmarek, executive vice president, will be responsible for all Asset Based/Private Banking statewide, which includes Real Estate lending, Mortgage Broker lending and Commercial Finance, and Private Banking, which includes Private Lending, Trust Services, and Mortgage Origination. He is also responsible for Plaza Realty Advisors and Human Resources. Kaczmarek has additionally been elected to the boards of both Plaza Bank and Comerica California.
 J. Michael Fulton, executive vice president, will be responsible for the Commercial Banking Division statewide, which includes Middle Market and Small Business Banking within Plaza and Bank of Industry. He is also responsible for selected emerging businesses, including High Technology and Mid-America, which focuses on relationships with companies with sales from $50-$250 million. He will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors of Comerica California, and has been elected as a member of the board of directors of Plaza Bank.
 Greg Belanger, senior vice president, will assume responsibility for Middle Market Banking in Northern California, including the original Plaza bank offices and the new Pleasanton office, recently acquired from Comerica Inc. He will report to Fulton.
 Dale Walter, a current member of the Comerica California Board and president of Bank of Industry, was elected to the board of Plaza. He will be responsible for Middle Market Banking in Southern California, which includes offices in City of Industry and Encino. He will report to Fulton.
 An application has been filed with the regulators to combine Plaza and Bank of Industry into one bank, with the name to be changed to Comerica Bank. This is expected to occur in the second quarter of 1992.
