COMDISCO NOT A TARGET OF FBI INVESTIGATION

ROSEMONT, Ill., May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Comdisco Inc. (NYSE: CDO) today said that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California confirmed that the company is not the target of an investigation. A press release issued on May 5 by the U.S. Department of Justice may have been misleading about Comdisco's role.
Comdisco has been cooperating with the FBI and the U.S. Attorney in an investigation to obtain evidence related to an interstate theft and fraud ring. The investigation involved customer-owned equipment stored at a Comdisco facility.
"Neither Comdisco nor its customer is a target of our investigation," said Leo Cunningham, Assistant U.S. Attorney, Northern District of California, "and they have been cooperating fully with us."
Comdisco said that service to its customers was in no way disrupted as a result of the investigation.
Comdisco is one of the world's leading providers of solutions that help businesses acquire, manage and protect their high-tech equipment. Comdisco's common stock (symbol CDO) is traded on the New York and Midwest Stock Exchanges.
