 COMCAST NAMES CHRISTINE VAN HORNE TO ASSISTANT TREASURER
 PHILADELPHIA, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: CMCSA, CMCSK) has announced the appointment of Christine K. Van Horne as assistant treasurer.
 Van Horne will continue to play an active role in the bank lending and corporate finance activities of the company.
 Van Horne has served as the company's corporate finance manager since joining the company's Treasury group in 1987. Prior to joining Comcast, she served as assistant vice president in the Treasury group of Meritor Financial Group, Philadelphia, and corporate finance manager for UGI Corporation, Valley Forge, Pa., from 1982 to 1986.
 Van Horne has a master's in business administration from the Wharton School of Finance. Prior to attending business school she was a Russian linguist with the National Security Agency, U.S. Department of Defense. She has a master of arts degree in Russian language from the University of Virginia and obtained her bachelor of arts degree from Princeton University.
 Comcast Corporation is principally engaged in the development and operation of cable television and cellular communications systems. The company's consolidated and affiliated cable operations served more than 2.8 million subscribers at March 31, 1992. This included more than 830,000 subscribers representing 50 percent of the total subscribers served by Storer Communications, Inc.
 With the completion of the acquisition of Metrophone, the company now provides cellular telephone services in the Northeast United States to markets encompassing a population in excess of 7.3 million. In addition, Comcast is also engaged in the sale and installation of sound communications systems, owning the largest independent network of background music systems operating under the Muzak name.
 The Class A and Class A Special common stock are traded in the Over- the-Counter market and are reported in the National Market List under the NASDAQ symbols CMCSA and CMCSK, respectively.
