COMCAST ANNOUNCES ROBERT B. CLASEN APPOINTMENT AS CHAIRMAN OF INTERNATIONAL DIVISION

 PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: CMCSA, CMCSK) announced today the appointment Robert B. Clasen as chairman of Comcast's International Division and as a senior vice president of Comcast Corporation.
 In this capacity Clasen will be responsible for the development and expansion of the company's overseas operations and investments in cable television, cellular and telephone communications.
 His area of activity includes the company's United Kingdom cable and telephony operations which encompass 1 million homes, as well as other ventures under development in Europe, the Pacific Rim and South America. Richard J. Davis, president of Comcast International, who resides in London, will continue with his present responsibilities.
 Clasen most recently worked with Comcast's International Division in a consulting capacity. Prior to establishing his own consulting practice, he was a senior vice president of McCaw Cellular Communications, Inc. and president of McCaw's Western region. From 1984 to 1991 he served Comcast in the capacities of senior vice president, president of the International Division and president of the Cable Communications Division.
 Prior to joining Comcast, Clasen served as vice president of U.S. operations for Rogers Communications, Inc. of Toronto and held several management positions with Continental Cablevision.
 Clasen currently resides in Newport Beach, Calif. with his wife and family. He obtained his master's and bachelor of arts degrees from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
 Comcast Corporation is principally engaged in the development and operation of cable communications systems. The company's consolidated and affiliated operations served more than 2.8 million subscribers at Sept. 30, 1992. The company also provides cellular telephone services in the Northeast United States to markets encompassing a population in excess of 7.3 million. In addition, Comcast is also engaged in the sale and installation of sound communications systems, owning the largest independent network of background music systems operating under the "Muzak" name.
 The Class A and Class A Special Common Stock of Comcast are traded in the over-the-counter market and reported in the National Market List under the NASDAQ symbols CMCSA and CMCSK, respectively.
