 COMBINED PLANT SERVICES (CPS) TO BE ACQUIRED BY NSC CORPORATION
 AS THE FLAGSHIP OF A NEW INDUSTRIAL CLEANING DIVISION
 PORTAGE, Ind., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Combined Plant Services (CPS) announced today that NSC Corporation (NASDAQ: NSCC) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Portage, Ind.-based industrial cleaning and maintenance company. NSC Corporation, based in Methuen, Mass., is a 70 percent owned subsidiary of OHM Corporation (NYSE: OHM), a leading nationwide environmental remediation services firm.
 Michael Rothman, president of Combined Plant Services, said, "Through NSC's reputation as one of the finest asbestos abatement companies in the industry and OHM's status as a premier national environmental remediation and emergency response company, we are positioned to be a turnkey supplier for all of our customers' environmenal remediation, emergency response, asbestos abatement and industrial cleaning and maintenance services."
 Combined Plant Services, Inc. supplies industrial vacuuming and waterblasting services to the power, utility, steel, municipal, grain and general manufacturing industries of Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. CPS had 1991 revenue of approximately $8 million, the result of rapid growth of its business which began just three years ago. CPS expects its revenues to continue to grow in excess of 20 percent per year in the near term with operating margins to be at least comparable to the industry average. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
 Anthony Mesiti, president and chief executive officer of NSC Corporation, said, "This is the first step in implementing our strategic plan to become one of the major providers of environmental cleaning and industrial maintenance services in the United States over the next 18-24 months. The expansion of our services into this area allows our proven operational skills and strong financial position to be leveraged into one of the fastest growing segments of the environmental services industry."
