COMAC announces AVIC and GE are to provide systems for China's first large commercial aircraft.

Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Limited (COMAC) announced today that GE Aviation systems and AVIC Systems have been selected to provide the avionics core processing system.

The newly launched C919 single-aisle aircraft will be fitted with systems from the two companies which include a display system and on-board maintenance system, the joint venture by AVIC and GE will support COMAC for avionics integration for the C919.

AVIC and GE are to form a new joint venture company to develop and market integrated avionics systems to the global commercial aerospace industry, in particular the avionics systems for the C919.
