COLUMBIA GAS PROJECTS $370 MILLION CAPITAL EXPENDITURE PROGRAM FOR 1992
WILMINGTON, Del, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Directors of The Columbia Gas System, Inc., (NYSE: CG) today approved a capital expenditure program of $370 million for system operating units in 1992.
Of the total, $99 million will be for oil and gas activities, $152 million for the transmission companies, $101 million for the distribution companies, and $18 million for other energy projects.
Columbia System Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John H. Croom said the 1992 program reflects a systemwide effort to reduce expenditures to the greatest extent possible consistent with the need to maintain safe and reliable facilities and to meet new service and tariff obligations.
Croom said Columbia anticipates spending about $420 million on capital projects in 1991, down from an original projection of $600 million.
